The Big Creek Campground lies in the eastern end of the park. The area is quite, offering hiking into a virgin forest. The campground sits at an elevation of 1,700 feet and is located approximately 2 miles south of Waterville. It offers 12 campsites, potable water and toilet facilities.

Directions

Directions from Waterville, NC: Head south on SR 32 about 2 miles to the campground.

Directions from Gatlinburg, TN: Travel east on Hwy. 321 to Cosby and turn right onto Foothills Parkway. Take I-40 south and get off at exit 451 to Waterville. The campground is approximately 3 miles down the road.
