This is a strenuous 2 mile hike. It leads to the Appalachian Trail crossing over Chestnut Branch Creek. It passes several old home sites while traveling through a beautiful forest.

Directions
Directions from Waterville, NC: Travel on SR 32 south a very short distance turning right onto Waterville Road. Trail begins just before Big Creek Campground on the north side of the road.
