Deep Low Gap Trail

Deep Gap Trail is a moderate trail which connects Indian Creek with Newton Bald. The trail ascends about 2,500 feet under 9 miles. It goes from Deeplow Gap and then dips to Little Creek Falls offering beautiful views of tumbling waters. The trail then travels through an open field where Black Walnut Trees are visible then ascends to Newton Bald. Primitive camping is offered along the path.

Directions

Directions from Bryson City, NC: Travel east on US 19 about 5 miles turning left onto Cooper Creek Road. The trail begins at the end of the road.
