The Forney Ridge Trail is a fairly challenging trail which dips over 2,400 feet in a little less and 6 miles. The trail travels through beautiful spruce-fir forest types to Andrews Bald. Scenic views are available from this point.

Directions from Cherokee, NC: Travel to the end of Clingman's Dome Road off US 441, north of Cherokee.
