This Corps area is leased to the State of Nebraska and has a surface area of 196 acres, resting on the south tributary of Hickman Branch.   • Boating

    There are two fishing piers along the 1.4-mile shoreline of the lake including one that is handicapped accessible.

  • Camping

    The lake has many primitive campsites and 50 improved campsites - 30 of which include electrical hook-ups.

  • Fishing

    From the piers or from your boat, you can fish for largemouth bass, channel catfish, muskellunge, tiger musky, northern pike, walleye, bluegill, rock bass, crappie, and redear sunfish.

  • Hunting

    The 412 acres of land surrounding the lake produces hunting opportunities in the form of ring-necked pheasant, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, squirrel, white-tailed deer, and waterfowl.

  • Picnicking

    Vault toilets, fire pits, picnic tables, and drinking water are available for picnicking patrons.

  • Water Sports

    Boating and swimming are popular for those looking for an aquatic experience.

  • Winter Sports

    Snow appreciation as well as ice fishing are known winter activities.



22 miles south of Lincoln, NE and two miles southwest of Hickman. The entrance is off Stagecoach Road, just west of its intersection with S. 68th Street.
