Overview

Sunshine Loop and the Dutchman Trail wind through spectacular desert scenery. Colorful rock layers, impressive buttes, prehistoric petroglyphs and elusive desert wildlife can be seen along these two mountain bike trails. Dutchman trail is a 9-mile long Easy ride and includes a side trip to Little Black Mountain Petroglyph Site. Sunshine Loop is 8.5 miles long and rated Moderate. Recommended seasons of use are Fall, Winter and Spring. The Sunshine loop is not as popular, but is well worth the ride.

Driving

The trailhead is located 10 miles southeast of St. George, Utah. Take Sunshine Trail road to parking area just south of the Arizona state line. The trail starts on the road heading west along the fence, just follow the bicycle trail markers.
