Overview

Overlooking City Hall Park and located in front of the historic Spaulding Academy building, home of the Vermont Historical Society, the Robert Burns Monument is considered to be one of the finest works of art in granite in the world. Sculpted in 1899, the panels depict three scenes from Burns' poems and one from Burns' cottage in Ayr, Scotland.
