Overview

The park formerly housed the fairgrounds and is named after the citizen first boat to be built in Manitowoc. Many people mistakenly call it Citizens Park in the belief that the name refers to citizen, a native or inhabitant of a city. The 60-ton citizen statue was completed in 1847 by Captain Joseph Edwards. The park is 26.70 and serves the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center. Amenities include: Baseball, Basketball, Grilling (Frying), Open Air Shelters, Picnicking, Playground Areas, Restrooms, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, and Walking / Hiking
