Canon Photography in the Parks at Yellowstone National ParkWant to learn how to take a stunning national park photo? Become a master of the camera and capture the breathtaking park scenery at the Canon Photography in the Parks Program. Presented by Canon U.S.A. and American Park Network, the free, hands-on photo and video workshops continue through August—so there’s still plenty of time to participate if you haven’t already!
The Canon Photography in the Parks Program offers participants free professional photography instruction as they take part in a guided walking photo tour of some of the most scenic national park areas. Following the tour, participants have the opportunity to print their work on site, and to download their image collection later from a secure server. Visitors of all ages and experience levels are welcome to participate.

New to this year’s program are Canon video workshop sessions. Visitors can experience and learn about shooting video using camcorders or EOS digital SLR cameras and participating in a hands-on videography demonstration with experts.

The team has already completed workshops in the Grand Canyon, Zion and Yosemite National Parks, and will continue to enlighten and inspire in Yellowstone, Grand Teton/Jackson Hole, Rocky Mountain and Acadia National Park. Each park is a feast for the eyes—and the camera! See the largest collection of geothermal features, including OldFaithful, in Yellowstone. Snap photos of the majestic Teton Range in Grand Teton. Revel in the grandeur of towering Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.  Capture the bubbles at Jordan Pond at Acadia National Park.

The remainder of the Canon Photography in the Parks Program will take place at various dates through the summer at the following national parks:

• Yellowstone National Park: July 23 – July 31

• Grand Teton National Park/Jackson Hole: August 1 – August 2

• Rocky Mountain National Park: August 5 – August 11

• Acadia National Park: August 18 – August 29

Those interested in participating should arrive15-30 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time to register. Instructors are expert at putting artistic and technical concepts into language that participants of all ages will understand and will help unleash their creativity.
