Lewis Lake Campground

Lewis Lake Campground can be found approximately 10 miles south of West Thumb. This more primitive campground has 85 campsites. There is water and pit toilets but no shower or laundry facilities. You can collect downed and dead wood within the campground for campsite use, but no chainsaws are allowed within the park.

The closest showers, laundry facilities and restaurants are located at Grant. Activities available at Lewis Lake include a boat access, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Operating Dates: Mid-June through early November
Fees: $12 per site, per night
First come, first served. Reservations not accepted.


From South Entrance: Travel north on Hwy. 191 to the south end of Lewis Lake.
