The Porcupine Flat Campground lies along Tioga Road west of Tuolumne Meadows and 38 miles from Yosemite Valley. The facility is located at an elevation of 8,100 feet and is open with full services from early July through early September, specific dates depending on snowpack. There are 52 individual sites available at Porcupine Flats on a first come, first served basis. Most of the camping sites accommodate tents only. A few RV accessible sites are available in the front portion of the campground.
This facility provides access to hiking, backpacking, fishing and scenic driving. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. Pit toilets are available for all campsites. Individuals who use this facility should bring water or be prepared to boil all water available on site. Pets are not allowed at the Porcupine Flat Campground.

Directions from Arch Rock Entrance: Follow the Merced River along Highway 140 into the park. Turn left on to Big Oak Flat Road and travel 9.5 miles to Tioga Road. Turn right on to Tioga Road and travel 24 miles to Porcupine Flat Campground.
