
Kolob Canyons Viewpoint Overlook
This site lies at an elevation of 6,200 feet in the northwestern corner of Zion National Park known as Kolob Canyons. It is open year round and serves as a picnic ground, overlook and trailhead. A few picnic tables are maintained in this area as are fire grates and restrooms. Visitors must provide there own charcoal. From the picnic ground is a view eastward into the canyons within the park. The Timber Creek Overlook trail leads southward a quarter mile from the picnic area. This trail ascends 270 feet from roads end to an overlook of the Timber Creek Valley to the east.

Directions from Interstate 15: Use exit 40 to reach this facility. After exiting the highway turn eastward and follow the paved road 5 miles to Kolob Canyons Viewpoint.
