
Lava Point Primitive Campground Dispersed Camping Area
Lava Point Campground lies northwest of Zion Canyon on the Upper Kolob Plateau. The campground is close to Kolob Reservoir and Blue Springs Reservoir two miles east of Kolob Terrace Road. The Wildcat Canyon Trail and Wet Rim Trail can be accessed from site two at the facility.
The campground consists of six primitive camping sites. Vault toilets and picnic tables are provided. There is no drinking water and no fee to use this site. Lava Point lies at an elevation of 7,890 feet. It provides an excellent panoramic view of the surrounding terrain. Panels at the point identify visible natural features in the landscape.

Directions from Virgin: Drive northward on Kolob Terrace Road, toward Kolob Reservoir, approximately 20 miles. Turn right on the Lava Point access road and drive 2 miles eastward to the campground.
