Zion Canyon Visitor Center

This facility provides general and specific information for park visitors about front and backcountry facilities. It is open daily April through October from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The hours are shortened during the remainder of the year and the facility is closed on December 25.

A short orientation video is shown periodically throughout the day at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. Several exhibits on site provide an introduction into the geology, flora and fauna and history of Zion Canyon. Rangers are available on site to provide trail and road conditions as well as permits for backcountry use. A sales area supplies maps, books and other educational materials pertaining to the desert southwest.
