Florala State Park
Overview
Stretching along the shores of beautiful 500-acre Lake Jackson, this compact 40-acre park offers swimming, paddleboat rentals, fishing and picnicking, as well as a complete community building and a modern lakeside campground. Water skiing and personal watercraft are allowed on the lake. Located on the Alabama/Florida state line, this park has the perfect climate for campers seeking to avoid those harsh winter months up north.
Activities
Boating
Lake Jackson provides excellent opportunities for boating, water skiing, and fishing. Bring your personal watercraft for an exciting time on the pristine waters of the lake. A boat launch and piers provide easy access. Paddle boats are available for rent as well.
Camping
The campground has 28 sites with electric, water, and sewage. Primitive sites are available as well. Call the park office for reservations.
Fishing
Lake Jackson, one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Alabama, offers excellent bass fishing. Visitors are welcome to use the large fishing piers, or to launch their boat from the ramp.
Picnicking
The park offers a lakeside picnic area with a 200 foot pier. Visitors may also reserve picnic pavilions for events.
RVing
The campground offers sites directly on the lake, affording campers great views of the water. All 28 sites are full hook-up with water, electricity, and sewer.
Water Sports
Water skiing and other similar water sports are favorite activities at Florala State Park. Visitors may also use their personal watercrafts on the lake. Paddle boats are available for rent as well.
