Rolling along the 22,000-acre Dannelly Reservoir, this 236-acre park features a nine-hole golf course with clubhouse, spacious vacation cottages, modern campground with bathhouse and laundry, and a scenic picnic area with tables, grills, pavilions and comfort station. With fishing so popular in the reservoir, the park also provides boat launching facilities.

  • Boating

    Located on the banks of the 22,000-acre William Dannelly Reservoir, Roland Cooper State Park is a great place to spend the day boating. A boat ramp is available and aluminum boats can be rented at the park.

  • Camping

    The park's campground has 47 improved sites with full hook-ups and 13 primitive sites. Dumping stations and trash containers are easily accessible, and bathrooms, showers and laundromat are nearby.

  • Fishing

    Set in the midst of a majestic pine forest along the 22,000-acre William Dannelly Reservoir (better known locally as "Millers Ferry"), Roland Cooper State Park offers excellent fishing. Both largemouth bass and crappie fishing are considered excellent in this reservoir, which consistently produces bass of three pounds or larger.

  • Golfing

    Roland Cooper State Park has a beautiful nine-hole golf course, 3,300 yards, par 36, with all the challenges and hazards of a championship course. The park also has a driving range.

  • Picnicking

    Roland Cooper State Park offers great outdoor fun for families, clubs, church and social groups. Picnic areas are located in beautiful woodlands overlooking the lake.

  • RVing

    Roland Cooper State park offers 47 paved sites with full hook-ups, including 30-amp electric, water, and sewer. All sites have picnic tables and grills. Dumping stations and trash containers are easily accessible, and bathrooms, showers and laundromat are nearby.



Located 6.3 miles northeast of Camden in south-central Alabama. Head northeast on AL-28/AL-41/Claiborne St toward Legion Rd, 0.6 miles Turn left at AL-10/Camden Bypass, 0.2 miles Turn right at Old Selma Rd, 2.7 miles Turn left at Highway 43, 2.1 miles Turn left at Longbow Dr, 0.5 miles Slight right at Deer Run Dr.
