Quartz Creek Trail

The 16-mile Quartz Creek Trail crosses alpine tundra hillsides and spruce-forested valleys, passes rocky granite tors and crosses cold mountain streams. Popular with both hikers and 4-wheelers, this trail marks the boundary of the area closed to motorized use. The trail and the lands to the west are open to 4-wheelers and other off-highway vehicles (OHVs) weighing less than 1,500 lb. gross vehicle weight. Lands east of the trail are closed to summer use of motorized vehicles.
