Things To Do

Come out to the Willamette Valley and get away from it all. Blue River Lake is a scenic 1240-acre lake and its many miles of forested shoreline provides multiple outdoor recreational opportunities. Overnight camping is available at two forest service managed campgrounds, Mona and Lookout. Boat launching onto Blue River Lake is available at both the Saddle Dam and Lookout Creek ramps. Fishing, swimming and water skiing are the favorite activities at the two recreation areas, both near the upper end of the lake. In addition, various types of watercraft share Blue River Lake's calm, blue waters. Steep slopes of mixed conifers, many with virgin timber, surround the area. The Forest-service operated Lookout campground has a beautiful open meadow with plenty of sunshine and provides a more rustic camping experience. The campground is located on the northeast shore of Blue River reservoir. There is also a boat ramp associated with this campground.
