Insect Shield

One of the best parts of camping and hiking is experiencing the natural world which, in our daily lives, we don’t get to enjoy as much as we’d like. However, sometimes those pesky mosquitoes can ruin your weekend. One of our favorite items for mosquito relief is the Haeleum lyft longsleeve shirt with Insect Shield. Each piece of Insect Shield clothing is designed to provide long-lasting, effective and convenient personal insect protection. So ditch the can of bug spray and get out there on the trail!

I got the opportunity to test this one out where the mosquitoes could be mistaken for birds: Wonder Lake at Denali National Park. Built with Insect Shield and 30+ UPF Sun Protection, the Haeleum lyft makes an excellent base layer. I found myself considerably less swamped with bugs then my camping counterparts.

Have a canine hiking buddy or an equine adventurer? Insect Shield technology has also been implemented to help keep your beloved pet from getting bitten by pesky mosquitoes. Because, after all, everyone deserves relief from the bloodsuckers.

Platypus SoftBottle .5L - Blueberry

We’ve all been there. You’re out hiking on the trail and you’ve just finished up your first bottle of water. Storing a big, empty bottle in your pack can be a hassle. Now, there’s an easier option.

The Platypus SoftBottle is flexible plastic that can be rolled up and easily stashed in a side pocket. Weighing 80% less than hard hydration bottles, you save both pack space and weight. When you’re ready to replenish, simply fill and go. The bottles are perfect for daily life, draining before airport security or sporting events.

Best of all, it’s 100% BPA-free, made in the USA and doesn’t retain flavor between uses. Choose between 0.5L or 1L depending on your treks. Add a little person flair as the SoftBottle comes in four colors: Raspberry, Tangerine, Blueberry and Gray. Quench your thirst for the perfect water bottle!

The Teva Sky Lake eVent light hikers are sleek, stylish and comfortable shoes designed with women in mind. While most hiking boots are clunky, the Sky Lake doesn’t bog you down. These light hikers feature eVent waterproof fabrics, which keep out water while millions of tiny pores promote breathability. Keep your feet dry from the rain and sweat.

The shoes come in two different color schemes which is a welcomed touch. I gave these shoes a rough introduction to the world. After trekking through the wilderness in the rain, I was stunned that I returned to camp with dry socks. They provide excellent traction for a light hiker and provide solid airflow for your feet.

Tilley Hats

Tilley Hats are legendarily known for the extreme circumstances they can withstand. Made out of Organic Cotton, the women’s T7MO hat acts as the ultimate protector, keeping the sun and rain far away from the back of your neck. Lightweight and fashionable, the hat is perfect for gardening or a day at the beach.

The breathable mesh panel makes this hat ideal for hiking in the heat of summer when you’re traveling the National Parks. If you enjoy taking long hikes in the wilderness, this hat is a must-have. Equipped with UPF 50+, there’s no need to worry about an uncomfortable sunburn.
