Overview

Nestled within the city limits, this passive park was acquired by the City in 1986 and has approximately 15 acres paved walking trails for exploring nature. Amenities include the following: * Brick patio/wood trellis with an outdoor patio, grill and landscaped gardens. * 2,800 linear feet of asphalt walking trails. * Entry Drive and asphalt parking area for 80 cars. * Granite animals: The granite animals were donated by the Florence Mall when the park was initially under construction. * Gazebo is 24' X 24' and consists of an open air design with concrete floor, stone columns, cedar shake roof. The gazebo is available to rent at no charge but you must call Public Services Department at (859) 647-5416 to reserve it. The scenic backdrop provides an ideal venue for weddings, graduations, reunions and other events. * Restroom building is located next to the Evelyn M. Kalb Gathering House and houses restrooms and a storage room for the park. * Evelyn M. Kalb Gathering House was a former residence renovated into public use building in 1991. Hours are from 8:00 am - 12:00 am. * Drinking fountains.
