Kincaid Lake State Park
Overview
Kincaid Lake State Park joined the Kentucky State Parks System in 1958. The park is home to 850 lush acres with 84 campsites, a nine-hole golf course, gift shop, and a 300-seat amphitheater. The 1878 Boston Steele log house is inside the park is the second oldest house in Pendleton County. Activities include boating, fishing, tennis and hiking.
Activities
Boating
For a day on the beautiful Kincaid Lake, rental boats are available at the marina. Pontoons, fishing boats, row boats, and pedal boats provide the means to explore the miles and miles of shoreline. Bait and tackle are for sale.
Camping
Enjoy camping under the stars at Kincaid Lake! The campground features 84 sites nestled in open woodland, with electric and water hookups, a grocery, playground, and a central service building with rest rooms and showers. Pets are allowed if restrained. Open for season from April to October.
Fishing
The lake supports a large population of keeper-size and trophy largemouth bass, as well as an abundance of channel catfish, bluegill, sunfish and crappie.
Golfing
There is a nine-hole golf course at the Kincaid Lake State Park in Falmouth, Kentucky.
Hiking
Explore the unspoiled beauty and variety of nature habitats at Kincaid Lake State Park on two hiking trails. Named for the native flora, the Spicebush and Ironwood Trails offer 2.25 miles of connected loop trails.
Picnicking
A picnic shelter with rest rooms, tables, grills, and a playground provide all the amenities your family needs to enjoy hearty home fare, or the catch of the day! The shelter is available for rental up to one year in advance.
RVing
The campground features 84 sites nestled in open woodland, with electric and water hookups, a grocery, playground, and a central service building with rest rooms and showers.
Tennis
Find your favorite opponent and enjoy a little friendly competition on the tennis courts located behind the miniature golf course. Sports equipment is available for rent.
Water Sports
Sun worshippers will love the lakeside swimming pool with warm gentle breezes off Kincaid Lake. A bathhouse serves the pool. The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through mid-August from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is under lifeguard watch. There is a charge to use the pool. It is $4.00 for a child and adult 13 and older, $3.00 for a child 3-12, $3.00 for an adult 62 and older, and free for ages 2 and under.
NOTE: The pool schedule in August is subject to change. Please call ahead to confirm pool hours which are determined by seasonal help availability, and many of whom are returning back to school during mid-August.
Directions
Driving
Kincaid Lake is located 48 miles southeast of Covington. Take I-275 east to US 27 south to Falmouth, and KY 159 to the park. 159 North will bear off to the left of HWY 22 East. The park entrance will be on the right approximately 4 miles from Falmouth.
Kincaid Lake is 61 miles northeast of Lexington. Take US 27 to KY 159.
