Swan Lake State Park
Overview
Swan Lake State Park is a day use only facility located on 67 acres just north of Swanville, Maine. This State Park is a seasonal facility, which is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year. Included in the park is picturesque Swan Lake where visitors can enjoy swimming under the supervision of a lifeguard.
Swan Lake is a newer State Park with beautiful rolling hills and mountains. This particular State Park enjoys numerous visitors during the summer who come to swim in the lake, make use of the picnic sites - many with grills - and to walk along the various trails. For large groups, there is a private group shelter including horseshoes, volleyball and a handicapped accessible toilet. There is an additional fee charged for the use of the group shelter.
In addition to swimming, there are opportunities for shoreline fishing. Swan Lake is stocked with brook trout, which often grow to lengths of 15 to 18 inches. You can also find lake trout and landlocked salmon in these waters.
