Cameron Sholly named new superintendent of the Natchez Trace Parkway

Cameron Sholly is the new superintendent of the Natchez Trace Parkway, headquartered in Tupelo.

The Natchez Trace Parkway spans 444 miles across three states, from the southern Appalachian foothills of Tennessee to the lower Mississippi River, and has an annual base operating budget of about $12 million and a staff of 140 employees.

The National Park Service says Sholly has more than 20 years of federal and state experience. He began his career in 1990 at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

Since 2005, he has served as the deputy associate director and chief of staff for the Park Service Visitor and Resource Protection Program in Washington, D.C. There he managed a $22 million operating budget with a staff of more than 160 employees.
