Agnes Gorge Trail

The trail to Agnes Gorge begins at High Bridge, along Stehekin River Road 11.3 miles north of the Golden West Visitor Center. The trailhead lies at an elevation of 1,550 feet. From High Bridge the Agnes Gorge Trail leads southwestward along the northern bank of Agnes Creek. It begins in a dense forest, but within a mile of the trailhead the terrain opens to provide excellent views of Junction Mountain to the north and Agnes Gorge below. Approximately one and a half miles from the trailhead the route crosses a small stream and begins to ascend slightly. The trail reaches a high point of approximately 2,000 feet then descends 150 feet to the trail terminus.
