Bullion Campground

The Bullion camping area lies along the Stehekin River 10 miles north of the Golden West Visitor Center and approximately one mile south of High Bridge. There are two primitive campsites at this location that provide good opportunities for fishing in the Stehekin River and the outlet stream of Coon Lake. Visitors can access this site via foot or shuttle bus. No reservations are necessary, but a backcountry permit is required. The permit may be obtained at the Golden West Visitor Center in Stehekin. The facilities consist of a fire pit, picnic table and vault toilet. Any water obtained on site must be filtered, boiled or treated before drinking.

Directions from Pacific Crest Trail: After descending from Coon Lake turn left (southeastward) on to a trail before crossing Stehekin River Road. Follow this trail approximately one mile to Bullion primitive camp.

Directions from Stehekin: Travel northward on Stehekin River Road 10 miles from the Golden West Visitor Center to the Dolly Varden camping area on the western side of the road.
