Wah-Sha-She State Park is located on the scenic shores of Lake Hulah. Fishing, boating and water skiing are all popular activites on the lake. Wa-Sha-She State Park features amenities such as loading docks and lighted boat ramps, which provide convenient access to Lake Hulah. Fishermen will find a variety of fish species in Lake Hulah such as largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, channel catfish and bullhead catfish.

Hunting is plentiful in the nearby Wildlife Management Area, which also includes a waterfowl refuge for bird watchers. Wa-Sha-She State Park also offers a swimming beach, playground, modern comfort stations, picnic areas, group picnic shelters, and an enclosed picnic shelter. Hiking trails in the park and nearby waterfowl refuge also offer visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the area's scenic natural setting. Visitors wishing to extend their stay in the area can reserve on of the 47 semi-modern RV sites with water and electricity, or one of the 15 regular, rustic tent sites.

    Three boat ramps in Wa-sha-shee State Park provide boaters with convenient access to Hulah Lake.

    The park includes a migratory bird refuge area of approximately 1,800 acres, offering exciting opportunities for birding enthusiasts to have close encounters of the avian kind.

  • Camping

    Wa-sha-shee State Park offers 47 RV sites with electrical and water and 15 tent sites.

  • Fishing

    Hulah Lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing and hunting. Fish species include largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, channel catfish, flathead catfish and bullhead catfish.

  • Hunting

    Hulah Public Hunting Area covers 14,112 acres of land managed primarily for waterfowl. The area also provides good hunting for quail, rabbit, dove, deer and squirrel.

  • Picnicking

    Several picnic shelters offer serene views of Hulah Lake.

  • RVing

    Wa-Sha-She State Park offers many RV campsites with full hookups and a RV dump station.

  • Water Sports

    Hulah Lake is accessible from the park and can be enjoyed for swimming and a variety of water sports.


The Lakeview campground RV area, bathrooms and boat ramp are closed from December to March, and the Beach Area bathroom is closed every winter until April.



Wah-Sha-She State Park is located 15 miles northeast of Pawhuska. From Highway 75, go 13 miles west on Highway 10. From Highway 99, go 13 miles east on Highway 10.
