Orick General Forest Area

This area encompasses the southernmost portion of Redwood National Park. The area consists of coastline, forested hills, redwood groves and prairie. Facilities within the Orick area of the park include a visitor center, nature trails, horse trails, foot trails, dispersed camping areas, scenic overlooks and picnic areas. Most of the areas facilities lie in the forested Bald Hills immediately east of the shoreline. The Bald Hills Road provides access to a variety of activities and facilities. This road climbs to the crest of the ridge then traverses it for 20 miles forming the parks eastern boundary. The Orick general forest area exists between the Bald Hills Road and the Redwood Information Center.
