Overview

Misquamicut State Beach is known as one of the state's most popular beaches . With over a half mile of beach front, this area has activities that attract guests of all ages. Rails, outside showers, a tower, and composting toilets are included in this modern pavilion. The beach is open only on weekends from the first weekend in May through Memorial Day (weather permitting). From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Beach is open seven days a week but the beach never fills to capacity, even on sunny summer weekends. This is Rhode Island's longest stretch of beach as it spans seven miles and is renowned for its clean water and white sand. There is something for the entire family here, such as the state of the art Pavilion that boasts plentiful parking spaces. The amusement park has a carousel, mini-gold, go-carts, batting cages, and kiddy rides. For water enthusiasts there are water slides, paddleboats and Jet Skis. Whether you want to ride the waves or just enjoy the sun, this is the place for you.

Take Interstate Rt. 6 West, to Route 295 North, to State Route 44 West. Follow 44 West approximately 15.4 miles and turn right onto Pulaski Road.The Recreation Area entrance is .8 miles ahead.
