Things To Do

Salty Brine State Beach is dedicated to Rhode Island's most renowned radio figure, Salty Brine. This state beach is a quaint, small urban park made up of 1.1 acres of land. The beach is dominated by a lovely pier that attracts several different kinds of fisherman, as well as pedestrians or runners who want to take advantage of the view of private and commercial fishing boats as they arrive and depart from from Block Island Sound. The Block Island Sound is found next to Scarborough State Beach, which is just west of Fishermen's Memorial State Park. The Park has a pavilion with a concession stand, restrooms, coin operated hot showers, and a lifeguard tower. Lifeguards are on duty, depending on the weather. Visitors can use the extensive 96- car paved parking area. Whether you want to enjoy the surf or just bask in the sun, this is the place for you!
