Overview

Snake Den State Park is made up of 1000 acres of gorgeous, undeveloped property located along Route 6 in Johnston, Rhode Island. The Park is known as the host of beautiful self-guided walking trails, a gorgeous array of foliage, flowers and plants and not to mention a presently working farm. During the autumn months, the foliage attracts tourists from all over who take in the bright red, orange, and yellow colors of the leaves. Guests can access Snake Den State Park at a small parking lot just past Dame Farm on the right hand side, which can be found on Brown Avenue in Johnston. Also, upon completion of Snake Den Park the State, hopes to accomplish several other objectives which include: Preserving valuable open space in the Providence Metropolitan Area as well as establishing another State Park that provides more and alternative recreational opportunities to the general public. Driving

From 95 North or South take Route 10 connector South (near Dunkin' Donuts center) to State 195 West to 295 North. On ramp, take Exit 6 and at bottom of ramp turn right onto Hartford Avenue (Rt. 6). Head west for approximately 1.5 miles to third light. At light take right onto Brown Avenue. Follow signs to Snake Den State Park.
