Overview

A small, get-away park, Llewellyn Johns' ten campsites offer a quiet camping experience beside Flat Creek Lake. Nearby Shadehill Recreation Area offers recreational opportunities as well as points of historical interest to keep visitors busy all day. For those who prefer peace and quiet, this is a great campground to just sit back and relax. Many historic figures have crossed through the area, including Hugh Glass and Custer's 1874 Expedition. In 1823, Glass was attacked by a grizzly bear in this area, which is documented in the novel Lord Grizzly. Visitors enjoy picnicking on the shores of Flat Creek Lake.
