Tuolumne Falls

Latitude, Longitude: 37.906004, -119.417768

This is the first of the two waterfalls you'll see on your way to Glen Aulin. (The other is White Cascade; there are three additional waterfalls within 3.5 miles downstream from Glen Aulin, but it's difficult to fit them all into a day hike from the Glen Aulin trailhead at Tuolumne Meadows.) Tuolumne Falls and the White Cascade waterfall are each 40-50 feet high. This spot is within half a mile of the hike's turnaround point at Glen Aulin. From here, the river enters a series of cascades, culminating in the waterfall and pool at trail's end.

Directions from Arch Rock Entrance: Drive northward into the park toward the Yosemite Valley. Turn left on to Big Oak Flat Road and travel almost 9.5 miles to Tioga Road. Turn right on to Tioga Road and travel 39 miles to Tuolumne Meadows. Turn left on to the dirt road that leads to the Lembert Dome/Glen Aulin Trailhead. Hike northwest from the western side of the trailhead parking area.
