Planning a visit to the park in April.  Are the park shuttles air conditioned?  I read somewhere on line that the shuttle windows are opened.  Since I am an asthmatic I cannot ride in a vehicle with windows opened.  Please respond so that I can make other arrangements if the windows are opened.  Thank you.

The shuttle is currently closed for the season. Please visit the National Park Service website for more information about the Zion Shuttle System. You may also call the park office at  1-435-772-3256 to ask more specific questions about the shuttle.


We would like to visit Zion and the other Utah parks in MArch. Is this too early, if we dress warm? also,are the park lodges open at that time? thank you

Visiting Zion in March may be a bit chilly and you may encounter some snow, so it's important to plan ahead.

The average high temperature in March is 63 degrees, but can get down to 36 degrees at night, so make sure you pack a warm jacket! Precipiation is at it's peak in March, with the normal amount being 1.7 inches. Snow is also common, with an maximum average of 14 inches of snow.
